On my 6th, 7th and 8th Days of Christmas Baths

Let me just start by saying I really admire “real” bloggers and their ability to write and post everyday.  ‘Tis the Christmas season, therefore it is crazy busy around my house, as I’m sure yours is too.

My 6th day of Christmas baths started out with making candy and playing games with my family.  I invited everyone over and we made several batches of candies and cookies. We used so many bags of chocolate!!!! and took turns stirring the divinity.

Afterwards, we played a few Christmas Edition Minute to Win It games.  It was a rough and rowdy evening, but oh so much fun.

Late that evening, I finally took a bubble bath with my Lush Peeping Santa Bubble Bar.  It filled my water with so many bubbles and a festive reddish color.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect Christmasy day.

On my 7th day of Christmas baths, I woke up early and used a special rose scented soap.  I’m not usually into bar soap, but this package was so heavenly and angelic that I had to buy it.

I did not have long to soak because I was heading to the Indianapolis Zoo for the day.  It was an early birthday celebration for myself.   I love orangutans just about as much as I love my husband and our 2 children.  At the end of our fabulous orangutan viewing, they bought me a baby of my own.  Well sort of.

Today is my 8th day of Christmas baths.  I have spent my day finishing my shopping and finally wrapping presents.  It feels good to see presents wrapped under the tree.  I divided up my stash of Lush bath bombs and Bath and Body Works gifts for my sisters, neices and daughter.  I can’t wait to see them opened, smelled and eww and awed over.
Tonight we watched Seinfeld’s Festivus episode together, it’s sort of a family tradition.  Then I headed to the bath with my Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas body wash.

Only a few more days until Christmas!
I hope everyone is getting as excited as I am.  See you tomorrow!

On my 5th Day of Christmas Baths

Today is the 5th day of Christmas and on this blog it is my 5th day of having a Christmas themed bath.

I started my evening watching the classic cartoon Frosty the Snowman.  I have watched that children’s flick every year since I can remember.

I have been very busy the last few days, by the way, Star Wars the Force Awakens was freaking awesome!  But anyway, after I watched Frosty I ran around the house like I was going to melt if I didn’t get several things done all at once.

That was the problem.  I hurried upstairs, dropped off laundry, put towels away and was on my way downstairs to grab the broom when my fuzzy blue socks took a flying leap. Actually “I” did. I took a flying leap down the stairs.

Meaning I landed right on my bottom, hit my arm and bounced down 6 slick and hard stairs.

My urge to get things done was crushed along with my backside. I went back upstairs and decided my planned bubble bath needed to be postponed.  A hot bath with Epsom Salt will ease my aches and pains and allow me to get back in the Christmas spirit tomorrow.

So until tomorrow,
Bruised and Sore Jesica

On my 4th Day of Christmas Baths

On my 4th day of Christmas baths I am going to be tired.  I have to be honest with you guys, I’m going to get in late tonight.  I am going to the opening night of Star Wars.  That’s right,  I’m rocking the Leia buns today at work.

Isn’t it part of the Christmas experience  to view a movie on the big screen with a big bucket of popcorn? Well, for me it is.  Although I have my tickets already, I will still be lined up outside with all the other Star Wars fans.  I will squeal as the movie starts and cheer for the heros.  I will clap and hollar as the credits roll at the end.

When the movie is over, my family and I will drive home and let out all of the “oh my gosh did you see how…can you believe she…wasn’t it cool when they….”

When I get home I will get our lunches ready for tomorrow and say my goodnights.  I will find this gift that I left for myself, an inflatable neck pillow for my tub.  I will say, “You know what Jesica, you deserve a relaxing soak after being such a hard worker and an awesome mom today”.  I will respond to myself, “The force is strong with this one. Take a relaxing soak, I shall”.

On the 3rd day of my Christmas Bath

Today I am celebrating my 3rd day of Christmas baths.   I decided to go with a classic movie and a classic-looking bath kit.

We watched It’s A Wonderful Life tonight. Everyone needs a feel good kind of movie around the holidays. It really makes you appreciate the people in your life.

I drank my cup of coffee with Almond Joy coffee creamer.  I snuggled under my blue paisley blanket.   After the movie, I looked forward to my bath.

I purchased this Glamour to the Rescue bath kit at Walmart, sort of a Christmas gift to myself.  After watching the glamorous, yet simple, 50s  lifestyle,  I decided this kit of bath salts, cream and lotion was as close as I am  going to get to a 50s style tonight.

I filled the bath with the salts as the water ran,  then I poured in some body wash.   I sat still in the water and reminisced about the movie. I could have sworn I heard a tiny bell ring. I smiled at the thought of an angel getting it’s wings.

Until tomorrow,
Jesica

For the love of baths, bubbles, relaxing and pampering.
